Special events

• Elmhurst Church of the Nazarene, 2951 Sandpoint Road, will have the Shane Brothers in concert at 10:30 a.m. Sunday. A freewill offering will be accepted.

• Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 800 Green St., New Haven, will have its spring rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. Friday will be a $2 bag sale.

• St. Paul Lutheran Church Preble in Decatur will have a gently used sale from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and 8 to 11 a.m. April 21 with a $2 bag sale. Homemade noodles and a bake sale will also be available.

Lectures

• Concordia Theological Seminary, 6600 N. Clinton St., will have David Scaer, professor of Biblical and systematic theology, speak about “The Resurrection of Jesus: The Current Relevance of the Ancient Accounts” at 4 p.m. Sunday in Luther Hall.
