• Crosswinds and Lifeline Youth & Family Services raised more than $250,000 at its annual Jazzin' Up January event to help build a National Training Center in Fort Wayne.
• Beaman Home, which provides services to victims of domestic violence in Kosciusko, Fulton and Marshall counties, received a $15,000 grant from the K21 Health Foundation. In addition, it received a sponsorship check from 1st Source Bank in Warsaw for its upcoming Angels of Hope Luncheon on April 18.
Courtney Brower, a 9-year-old from Fort Wayne who suffers from Ehlers Danlos Syndrome and juvenile arthritis, will receive a trip to Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida, from “The Bert Show.” The show, based in Atlanta and heard on WJFX, Hot 107.9 FM, provides Disney trips to children with chronic or terminal illnesses and their families as part of its “Bert's Big Adventure.” Courtney is one of 13 children chosen.
