• Calvary United Methodist Church will host the program series “Calvary Connects” from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at 801 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, featuring Rebekah Sceniak, who will discuss her recent experience teaching in Taiwan.
• Forest Park United Methodist Church, 2100 Kentucky Ave., will have its annual hymn sing and free old-fashioned ice cream social at 3 p.m. Sunday.
• Calvary United Methodist Church, 6301 Winchester Road, will have its vacation Bible school July 18 to 20 from 6 to 8 p.m. for ages 3 and older. The theme is the Jerusalem Marketplace.
Fort Wayne native Sister Carol Lindly is celebrating her 60th Jubilee with the Sister of Providence of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods. She entered the congregation on Feb. 2, 1957, from St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Fort Wayne, and professed her final vows on Aug. 15, 1964.
The Lighthouse will have a free training seminar, “Why Do I Struggle,” with Mark Shaw, an author, pastor and leader in biblical counseling, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. July 15 at Aboite Baptist Church, 5700 Homestead Road.
