Arts update

SPEAKERS SET: Speakers for  Wunderkammer Company's Design Week, set for May 8 to 12, include Stefan Sagmeister of Sagmeister & Walsh in New York City. Sagmeister, who will speak May 8, has done award-winning album art for the Rolling Stones and Talking Heads and stunning exhibitions at the Guggenheim Museum. Other speakers are Nicholas Thompson, editor in chief of Wired magazine, on May 9; Hugh Forrest, chief programming officer for the annual South by Southwest Interactive Conference in Austin, Texas, on May 10; Margaret Cavenagh, interiors architect and designer, on May 11; and Kathleen Rowold, director of Indiana University's Sage Collection of historical and contemporary clothing, on May 12. All presentations will be at 6 p.m. at 3402 Fairfield Ave.

SHOW CHOIR TO COMPETE: Northrop High School's mixed show choir Charisma will compete at the FAME National Show Choir competition this weekend in Chicago. This is the first time that a Fort Wayne Community Schools group has qualified for the competition.
