Bill Drinkall joined the Bradley Co.'s Fort Wayne office as the vice president, brokerage for the northeast Indiana real estate market.

Mary Popovich joined Re/Max Crossroads as a Realtor/broker associate.

Beth Ann Riley, certified pharmacy technician, received recognition for her Walmart five-year service anniversary. Riley is originally from Convoy, Ohio, and previously with CVS/Pharmacy's in Fort Wayne.

Craig Campbell joined MKM architecture + design as a construction administration manager.

NEI Regional Pitch Competition winners of the BLAZE competition are: First Prize – R. Wesley Gensch, CoolCorp Inc., who invented and markets a cryo-compression medical recovery device; Runner-up Prize - Robert Johnson, Bukál Beverage Co., a company producing natural sparkling water beverages with non-traditional flavors; People's Choice – Kyle Craig, Apollo Dynamics Inc., inventor of tech enabled wearables that record and deliver biometric data; and 1517 Fund Special Prize – Justin Sheehan, Emporia, creators of specialized marketing software targeted toward small businesses.

Fifteen local entrepreneurs are new graduates of the Build Institute Fort Wayne Business Planning Education classes. The eight-week course offers a general curriculum that is adaptable to any kind of startup. Graduates from the second class are Andrew Farnsworth, Nancy Gaier, Susan Gebert, Cheyenne Gonzales, Sonja Scott-Woods, Betty Shuman, Stephanie Smith, Juanita Williams. Graduates from the third class are Jennifer Bermejo, Brenna Curry, Janie Garrison, Angela Harrison, Ricco Nettles, Virginia Richardson and Tyler Stevenson.

Joey Colone with DWD was promoted to manager; Amanda Oursler, supervisor; and Tyson Moore and Ryan Hawkins, senior staff accountants.

Ellen Cutter, Greater Fort Wayne Inc.'s VP of economic development, was named to the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives' “40 Under 40” list for 2019.

Elizabeth Cary with First Federal Savings Bank was promoted head teller/new accounts representative for its South Bend Drive office; Miriam Barker, customer service manager/loan processor, Huntington; Michele Higgs, mortgage processor at its south office; and Brittney Shoemaker, new accounts representative at its north office.

Fort Wayne local people who collectively have over 40 years of brewing experience are opening a new brewery at 1010 Spring St. Aug. 9 named Fortlandia Brewing Co. Owners are Sam Snyder, Ken Daly, Jerry Glass, Dan Voors and Ed Whipp.
