Carroll rallies past Dwenger in baseball


Carroll rallied past Bishop Dwenger for a 6-4 win in baseball Friday.

The Chargers trailed 4-2 in the third inning before scoring two runs each in the fifth and sixth innings. 

Hayden Jones picked up the win after tossing two scoreless innings in relief. He was also 2 for 3 with two RBI. 

Eddie Morris went 3 for 4 with two RBI for the Saints. 


CONCORDIA 2, BLACKHAWK CHRISTIAN 0: Treyvin Moss had a double and a triple to lead the host Cadets. 

Joel Miller picked up the win for Concordia.

HERITAGE 13, WHITKO 3: The host Patriots got five RBI from Jarrett Keiss in the win over the Wildcats.

Heritage's Bobby Lomow was 3 for 4 with three runs scored and three RBI. 

EAST NOBLE 12, WAWASEE 10: The host Knights spotted the Warriors seven runs in the top of the first before rallying.

Brooks Miller, Joe Kovets, Michael Bender and Colton Wright each scored twice for East Noble (1-3), while Tony Garcia struck out five in 3 1/3 innings of scoreless relief for Wawasee (2-2).

WARSAW 14, COLUMBIA CITY 12: The Tigers outslugged the host Eagles. 

Jared Hawley and Matt Shoemaker each had three hits for Warsaw. Avery Remocaldo picked up the win in relief, and Mason Reber had the save.


WOODLAN 4, BISHOP DWENGER 0: The visiting Warriors blanked the Saints, giving up only two hits.

Emma Baughman picked up the win and also had a home run. 

PENN 14, CARROLL 1: The host Chargers fell to the Kingsmen in six innings.

Penn scored seven runs in the third inning in the rout.

WARSAW 11, SOUTH BEND WASHINGTON 5: Lindsey Bradley led the Tigers by going 3 for 5 in the road win. Warsaw had 10 hits.
