DeKalb's Leigha Brown chosen as an Indiana All-Star

DeKalb's Leigha Brown was named an IndyStar Indiana All-Star, announced Tuesday.

Brown, a 6-foot-1 guard and Nebraska recruit, averaged 28 points, 11.5 rebounds and 5 assists for the Barons this season. She completed her career with 1,798 points. Columbus North coach Pat McKee will coach the all-star team and will be assisted by DeAnn Booth of East Noble and Corie West of Avon.

The All-Stars will play an exhibition game against the Junior All-Stars on June 6 (site to be determined) and playing the Kentucky All-Stars on June 8 (site to be determined) and June 9 at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.

Joining Brown on the All-Star roster includes Angel Baker and Michaela White of Pike, Janasae Bishop of East Chicago Central, Mackenzie Blazek of Whiteland, Nia Clark of Ben Davis, Carmel's Amy Dilk and Tomi Taiwo, Heritage Christian's Katlyn Gilbert, Cassidy Hardin of Center Grove, Emily Kiser of Noblesville, Anna Newman of Evansville North and Martinsville's Kayana Traylor.
