Saint Francis men grab road win


Connor Lautzenheiser made 9 of 11 shots, totaling 24 points, to lead the Saint Francis men to a 77-64 victory over Ohio Christian on Thursday in Circleville, Ohio.

Lautzenheiser converted 3 of 5 shots from 3-point range for the No. 16 Cougars, who closed the game with a 41-32 run.

Teammate Hunter Hollowell had 11 points. And Conlan Martin and David Miller had nine apiece off the bench, with Miller totaling 11 rebounds for the Cougars (3-1) on a night that made 50.8 percent of their shots from the field.

Ohio Christian (2-5), which led by as many as nine in the first half, shot only 37.5 percent and was paced by Troy Mundy and Rael Windley, who had 12 points apiece. Justin Barksdale added 11 points and seven rebounds.


WESTERN MICHIGAN 69, PFW 61: At Kalamazoo, Michigan, De’Jour Young had 14 points for the Mastodons, hitting 6 of 10 shots, and she totaled seven rebounds in a losing effort. Sh’Toya Sanders, Kierstyn Repp, Hannah Hess and Jaelencia Williams had nine points apiece for the Mastodons (1-1).

The Broncos (1-0) were paced by Leighah-Amori Wool’s 17 points on 5-of-17 shooting. Jasmyn Walker added 14 points.

Walker’s layup with 2:07 left gave Western Michigan a 61-58 lead and that was followed by a Meredith Miller 3-pointer.
