Indiana Tech women gets bid to NAIA cross country

VICTORIA JACOBSEN | The Journal Gazette

The Indiana Tech women's cross country team has received a bid for the NAIA Women's Cross Country National Championship. Indiana Tech men's cross country runner Cayce Griffin will also compete at the national championships as an individual.

The Warriors women were added to the field, which was announced Wednesday, as an at-large bid, as they were not Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference champions. It is their first trip to the national championships since 2014.

The men's and women's championship races will be held Nov. 16 at the Seminole Valley Cross Country Course in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The women's 5K race will begin at 10:30 a.m., followed by the men's race at 11:30 a.m.
