McLaughlin scores 29 in Purdue exhibition win

Purdue sophomore and Homestead grad Karissa McLaughlin scored 29 points to lead the Boilermakers over Ashland, 85-69, in an exhibition game at Mackey Arena on Sunday. McLaughlin shot 10-of-15 from the field and 5-of-7 from the field. 

McLaughlin's teammate Ae'Rianna Harris recorded a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Freshman Kayana Traylor has 13 points, seven assists and one turnover in her collegiate debut. 

Purdue's first official game of the season will be at Ball State at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
