Indiana Tech baseball gets at-large bid

The No. 18-ranked Indiana Tech baseball team is heading back to the NAIA national championships by getting an at-large bid to the opening round as the No. 2 seed in the Bartlesville Bracket, hosted by Oklahoma Wesleyan. The Warriors will play No. 3 seed Bryan at 4 p.m. Monday at Bill Doenges Memorial Stadium.

Tech is back in the postseason for second year in a row, and the eighth time under 10th-head head coach Kip McWilliams, and the seventh time in the current opening round format. The Warriors are 9-12 all-time in opening round games and hold a 41-12 record this season.

The other three teams in the Bartlesville Bracket are the host and top-seeded Eagles, fourth-seeded Midland and fifth-seeded St. Ambrose. The five teams will play in a double elimination bracket with the winner advancing to the 61st Annual AVISTA-NAIA World Series in Lewiston, Idaho, May 26-June 2.
