The Indiana Pacers’ prospects continued their torrid paces – Edmond Sumner scored 26 points and Alize Johnson had 23 – but the Mad Ants’ winning streak came to a halt at three games tonight.
Walt Lemon Jr. totaled 34 points against his former team to lead the Maine Red Claws to a 109-105 victory over the Mad Ants on in front of an announced crowd of 1,562 fans at the Portland Expo Building in Portland, Maine.
Lemon made 13 of 21 shots with six assists.
Sumner converted 10 of 21 shots with six assists for Fort Wayne (3-2). (His video highlights are above.)
Johnson made 9 of 13 shots with six rebounds.
Ike Anigbogu and Ben Moore had 17 points apiece for the Mad Ants. Anigbogu had eight rebounds and three shot blocks for Fort Wayne, which next plays the Memphis Hustle on Wednesday at Southaven, Mississippi.
Stephan Hicks added 13 points for the Mad Ants.
Maine (2-4) got 27 points from P.J. Dozier. The Red Claws and Mad Ants have split two games this season.
