JOURNAL GAZETTE

Trey McKinney Jones, who played last season for the Mad Ants, and Snider graduate Reggie Hearn will participate in the USA World Cup team training camp that will determine the roster for upcoming qualifying games for the FIBA World Cup.

The training camp will be in Houston on June 20-26. The U.S., which is coached by Jeff Van Gundy, is preparing to face Mexico on June 28 and Cuba on July 1.

McKinney Jones withdrew from a similar training camp in February because he was signing his first NBA contract with the Indiana Pacers. He averaged 12 points, 3.1 rebounds and 2.5 assists in 36 games with the Mad Ants.

Hearn played for Grand Rapids and Reno of the G League last season and made his NBA debut with the Detroit Pistons. He averaged 14.8 points and 5.2 rebounds in 12 games with Grand Rapids.
