Mad Ants' Lemon gets G League honor
JUSTIN A. COHN | The Journal Gazette
Mad Ants guard Walt Lemon Jr. was selected Third Team All-G League by coaches and general managers, after a season in which he was second in the league with 22.4 points and led Fort Wayne to the Central Division title before losing to the Erie BayHawks in the second round of the playoffs.
Former Fort Wayne player Georges Niang, now with Salt Lake City, made the First Team along with Raptors 905’s Lorenzo Brown, Santa Cruz’s Quinn Cook, Texas’ Jameel Warney and South Bay’s Thomas Bryant.
Lemon, who averaged 6.1 assists, earned his first two NBA 10-day contracts this season with the New Orleans Pelicans.
