Irish add defensive tackle prospect

CHRIS GOFF | The Journal Gazette

Jacob Lacey, a defensive tackle at South Warren High School in Bowling Green, Kentucky, announced his commitment to join Notre Dame's 2019 recruiting class, which until Saturday consisted of only one player.

"First I give God all the glory for everything," Lacey wrote in a message posted to his Twitter account. "God. Country. Notre Dame!"

Listed at 6-foot-2 and 295 pounds, Lacey reportedly chose the Irish over Michigan, Clemson and Tennessee, among others. Cade McNamara, a quarterback from Reno, Nevada, is Notre Dame's other commit for 2019.
