Bartus in net for K's for Game 2

JUSTIN A. COHN | The Journal Gazette

LOVELAND, Colorado – It’s been since April 7, the next-to-last game of the regular season, since Garrett Bartus has played a game for the Komets. But he’ll be in net tonight for the Komets for Game 2 of the Western Conference finals.

Michael Houser was injured during overtime of the 3-2 loss Saturday when he was bowled over by Ryan Harrison, who did receive a penalty for the infraction.

Michael Joly won the game shortly thereafter with the teams skating 4-on-4, completing his hat trick.

Houser is 8-4 with a .918 save percentage and a 2.40 goals-against average in the playoffs. Bartus has one game of playoff experience with the Komets – he stopped 32 of 35 shots in a 3-2 loss to Toledo last year – but he’s got three games of playoff experience in the lower-level Southern Professional Hockey League.
