LOVELAND, Colorado – We're heading to overtime in what has been a back-and-forth, special-team heavy opening game of the Western Conference finals. We're tied at 2 between the Komets and Colorado Eagles.
Fort Wayne's goals have come from Daniel Maggio and Gabriel Desjardins, both on power plays. Colorado has two Michael Joly goals, one on a power play and one short-handed.
I can't help but feel the Komets missed their opportunity here but giving up the short-handed goal in the third period, but we'll find out.
