The Komets have re-signed forward Gabriel Desjardins and added forward Dennis Kravchenko, bringing their roster to six for the upcoming ECHL season.

Desjardins, 24, had 20 goals and 46 points in 64 games last season when Fort Wayne had the fourth-best regular-season record and reached the second round of the playoffs. In the postseason, he had five goals and six points in 10 games.

"Gabe really turned out to be a great acquisition last season," Komet general manager David Franke said. "He is a hard worker with a nice offensive touch. We are excited to welcome back Gabe to Komet-land."

Kravchenko, 23, played 41 games with Adirondack and totaled 18 goals and 43 points. In six playoff games, he had four goals and five points.

"Dennis Kravchenko is a solid two-way player who can make plays and score at a good clip," Franke said. "He will be an exciting player for our fans to watch and cheer on."

In 2015-16 with UMass-Amherst, he had 12 goals and 28 points in 32 games.

The Komets have also signed forwards Garrett Thompson and Mason Baptista, plus defensemen Jason Binkley and Ryan Lowney. Forward Mike Cazzola, who was last season’s MVP, recently announced he’ll play in Scotland.

In other news, the ECHL announced tickets for the Jan. 15 All-Star Game at Indiana Farmers Coliseum in Indianapolis will start at $29. While packages of 25 or more tickets are on sale now at ECHLAllStarClassic.com, individual tickets will go on sale this fall.
