Game 36: TinCaps (13-22) vs. Beloit (16-17)

CHRIS GOFF | The Journal Gazette

The TinCaps haven't won a series since taking two of three games against West Michigan from April 17-19. Tonight offers a chance to enter an off day feeling good about a series victory over Beloit.

To get the job done at Parkview Field, Fort Wayne will likely need a more potent offense.

While statistics are often misleading, we'll offer this one anyway. The TinCaps are 1-12 when they score fewer than three runs.

Hansel Rodriguez, on the mound tonight, knows this as well as anyone. He has received the lowest total run support of any of Fort Wayne's starting pitchers. In his five outings, the 20-year-old Dominican has enjoyed only 16 runs, or 3.2 per game.

Rodriguez throws a four-seam fastball and a two-seamer, as well as a changeup, curveball and slider.

Here is the lineup for Fort Wayne:

Fernando Tatis Jr. SS

Reinaldo Ilarraza 2B

Jorge Oña DH

Hudson Potts 3B

Jack Suwinski RF

Rod Boykin CF

G.K. Young 1B
