Knight's appearance in Fort Wayne chance for nostalgia

CHRIS GOFF | The Journal Gazette

One of college basketball's top rivalries has historically been Indiana vs. Purdue, and for decades the two faces most associated with the rivalry were Hoosiers coach Bob Knight and Boilermakers coach Gene Keady.

In retirement, the two legendary figures are coming together once more, appearing in Fort Wayne on Friday at 7:30 p.m. at Embassy Theatre for a moderated discussion on their many head-to-head battles and other topics.

As of Thursday night, tickets to the event were still available on StubHub for prices ranging from $6-$104.

Expect the evening to be one of much reminiscing. For IU or Purdue fans who loved to hate the other team's coach in the 1980s and '90s, their on-stage dynamic could be quite interesting, as there was a time when neither Knight nor Keady cared much for the other.

I'm curious whether Keady makes any reminder of coming out ahead 21-20 in 41 matchups against Knight.
