Report: Bryant to hire agent, end IU career
CHRIS GOFF | The Journal Gazette
Center Thomas Bryant plans to sign with an agent and end his career at Indiana, Scout.com's Evan Daniels reported Saturday, citing an unnamed source. On April 11, when the Hoosiers announced Bryant had declared for the NBA draft, they said he would not immediately hire representation in order to preserve NCAA eligibility.
In his two seasons in Bloomington, Bryant started all 69 games and averaged 12.2 points and 6.2 rebounds per game while shooting 59 percent from the field. The 6-foot-10 New York native was projected as a first-round pick last spring but opted to stay in school. Most mock drafts now have Bryant going in the second round.
