Flood advisory: DeKalb, LaGrange, Noble, Steuben

The National Weather Service has issued an urban and small stream flood advisory for poor drainage areas for parts of DeKalb, LaGrange, Noble and Steuben counties until 8:30 p.m.
At 5:40 p.m., weather-service radar indicated heavy rain because of thunderstorms in DeKalb, LaGrange, Noble and Steuben counties, with rainfall rates of up to 2 inches in 30 minutes, the weather service said. It said the thunderstorms could produce rapid changes in visibility, especially along Interstate 69.
Locations that will experience flooding include Auburn, Kendallville, Garrett, Butler, Avilla, Waterloo, Rome City, St. Joe, Wolcottville, Ashley, Newville, Hudson, Corunna and LaOtto.
