A 22-year-old Fort Wayne man has been arrested and charged with murder in the shooting death of Frashaun Striverson at Colerick Street and Central Drive early Sunday, city police said.

Amiracle Phifer was being held in the Allen County Jail awaiting arraignment, police said in a statement.

Police were called to the intersection shortly after 3 a.m. Sunday on several reports of shots fired. Officers found a blood trail and located a man on the ground near the street. Medics arrived and pronounced Striverson dead at the scene.

Detectives have been doing interviews, speaking with people in the area and going through surveillance video, police said, and were able to piece together the events they said led to the shooting.

According to police, Phifer was the second victim in the shooting that was taken to Parkview Hospital the morning of the shooting.
