Hartman, Chambers lead Fort Wayne at-large council ballots
Freistroffer, Barranda, Hines, Corona also nominated

Nathan Hartman and Michelle Chambers led their party's slates for nominations to the November at-large Fort Wayne City Council ballot.
In the Republican race, with all precincts reporting, unofficial results showed Hartman had 25 percent of the vote, to 23 percent for Thomas Freistroffer and 21 percent for Michael Barranda. Those three candidates were nominated, defeating Eric Tippmann with 17 percent and Joe Townsend with 15 percent.
In the Democratic race, with all precincts reporting, unofficial results showed Chambers had 29 percent of the vote, to 27 percent for Glynn Hines and 19 percent for Steve Corona. Those three candidates were nominated, defeating MaryClaire Akers with 18 percent and Curtis Nash with 7 percent.
The top three candidates in November's election win the at-large seats.
