Police ID decomposed body as homicide victim

A missing Indianapolis man's body found by a fisherman in Wabash County has been identified, and his death is being treated as a homicide, Indiana State Police said today.

Around 10 p.m. on June 28, police were notified a fisherman found a decomposing body on Department of Natural Resources property near County Road 450 West and Old Slocum Trail, state police at Peru said in a statement.

After an investigation, police were able to identify the man as Alexis Serrano, 20, who had been reported missing by family members June 6.
