Traffic pattern change at Lower Huntington and Aboite road intersection

The Journal Gazette

A new traffic pattern will be instituted at the intersection of Lower Huntington and Aboite roads, the Allen County Highway Department said today.

Stop signs will be placed on Lower Huntington Road on Feb. 26 to stop traffic as it approaches the intersection of Aboite Road, the highway department said in a statement. The stop signs that are on Aboite Road now will be removed and traffic on Aboite Road will not have to stop at the Lower Huntington Road intersection.

The change is because of the recent reconstruction of Lafayette Center Road and the closing of the intersection at Lower Huntington Road, the highway department said. It said the closing has resulted in Aboite Road becoming the primary route at that intersection and the change of stop signs will allow traffic to be more free-flowing.
