Police seeking shooting suspect

The Fort Wayne Police Department is looking for a man it says was involved in the shooting death of Javon Sims in November 2017.

Police say Nickolas Fitzgerald McKinley, 24, should be considered armed and dangerous, a statement from police said.

He is sought in the death of Sims, 22, who police have said was found shot just before 1:15 a.m. Nov. 7 in the 2900 block of Smith Street.

Sims was treated at the scene and taken to a hospital in critical condition, where he later died, police have said.

McKinley is described as 5 feet, 10 inches tall, weighs 302 pounds and has brown eyes, short black hair and a full beard without a mustache, the statement said.
