No charges in FWPD deputy incident

Conflicting accounts of a November skirmish between a Fort Wayne police deputy chief and a 17-year-old resulted in no charges being filed against the officer.

The Allen County prosecuting attorney's office said in a news release this morning that there is not enough evidence to prove beyond a reasonable doubt a crime was committed by Fort Wayne Police Department Deputy Chief Derrick Westfield due to discrepancies in witness statements.
