A healing service for the late Diane Woods will be held at 12:15 p.m. today at Valley Hills Mobile Home Park, 5721 Le Steele Blvd.

Safety initiative

Associated Churches of Fort Wayne and Allen County and the Fort Wayne Police Department will present “Safety First Thursday, Let's Grow Safely” from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Simpson United Methodist Church, 2501 Harrison St. The event will have a puppet show and meal.

Summer tea

The senior women of “Come As You Are” Community Church, 7910 S. Anthony Blvd., will have a summer tea featuring Bernadette Thomas at 4 p.m. Aug. 23.
