    Rick Uhrich, a right wing who played for the Komets in 1974-75, died at 60, according to the Leader-Post, a newspaper in Saskatchewan.

This is sad news

Former Komets star Joe Kastelic, who once owned the record for most goals scored in the IHL, died Wednesday at 81. He skated for the Komets from 1953 to 1957 and then again in 1960-61. He finished his career with the Muskegon Mohawks in 1968. His record of 551 goals was broken by Fort Wayne’s Scott Gruhl in 1992.

This was one of my favorite people to speak with on those trips to Muskegon, Michigan, that I made for so many years covering the Komets.
