INDIANAPOLIS – Area residents have been appointed as trustees to university boards by Gov. Mike Pence.
Michael Mirro, of Allen County, will serve a three-year term on the Indiana University Board of Trustees. He is chief academic research officer for Parkview Health System. He earned his undergraduate degree from Loyola University in Chicago and his medical degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine. His term on the board ends June 30, 2017.
Mark A. Michael Jr., of Wabash County, will serve a one-year term through June 30, 2015, as the student appointee on the Vincennes University Board of Trustees. Michael is a Student Ambassador, a Campus VideoNet Service Technician and a member and former President of the Vincennes University Student Government Association.
Having already earned his associate’s degree in law enforcement, Michael is set to graduate in 2015 with his bachelor’s degree in Homeland Security.
