Water main break hits Calhoun Street

FORT WAYNE – South Calhoun Street remains closed at Fairfax Avenue due to a water main break at Southgate Plaza earlier today.

The Fort Wayne Traffic Engineering Department said Crosby Excavating will be doing the emergency repairs.

When the section of road will open is not currently known. Late Thursday afternoon, the department said the closure has been extended to Friday.

There is a marked detour for this closure using Pettit Avenue, U.S. 27 and Paulding Road.
