Allen judge honored with award

Gull

She’s supported Stop Child Abuse and Neglect for over 20 years.

She has served on the bench since 1997.

She recently oversaw the update of a jury software system at the downtown courthouse.

On Saturday, Allen Superior Court Judge Frances C. Gull was honored with a 2014 Leadership in Law award in Indianapolis.

The Indiana Lawyer, a website devoted to state legal news, ran an interview with Gull before she received the award.

In the interview, she said the feedback from those who’ve used the new jury technology – which allows jurors to fill out Web-based questionnaires and receive text-message notifications for duty – has been nothing but positive.

She also told the website that if she did not work in law, she would want to own a farm-to-table restaurant.
