3 Democrats to talk taxes

Democratic candidates for state auditor, a state Senate seat and Wayne Township trustee will have a joint appearance Monday to talk about Earned Income Tax Credit programs and helping low-income Hoosiers file their tax returns.

Auditor hopeful Mike Claytor of Carmel, Senate District 15 candidate Jack Morris of Fort Wayne and incumbent township Trustee Rick Stevenson of Fort Wayne will appear at 10 a.m. at the Fort Wayne Urban League, 2135 S. Hanna St.

Morris and Stevenson are unopposed in the May 6 Democratic primary election. Claytor so far is the only candidate for the auditor’s nomination at the Democratic State Convention in Indianapolis in June.
