AT THE LIBRARY:

•“Art Here: Fooled Ya” will be presented at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Children’s Services at the Allen County Public Library, 900 Library Plaza. “Home School Happenings” will be offered at 1 p.m. Thursday in Young Adults’ Services. “Otaku Anon” will be presented at 7 p.m. Thursday.

•“Art for Home Schoolers, Teens” will be at 10:30 a.m. Fridays and “Art for Home Schoolers, Children” will be at 2 p.m. Thursdays at Aboite Branch, 5630 Coventry Lane.

AWARDS:

•The Fort Wayne Museum of Art’s Scholastic Art and Writing Program was awarded 51 national medals a year after the museum was recognized on stage at Carnegie Hall with the Gold Key for Excellence in the Field in 2013.

•Huntington University was recently recognized for its digital media arts program at the 2014 Indiana Association of School Broadcasters awards.

•Valerie McBride of Grabill was one of 11 selected to receive the 2014 Hoosier Women Artist award from Lt. Gov. Sue Ellspermann.

BURNETT TO SPEAK: Bill Burnett, Emmy Award-winning writer, producer and composer, will speak about the animation industry at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Longaker Recital Hall of the Merillat Centre for the Arts, Huntington University, Huntington.
