On links, Mastodons do well

The IPFW men's golf team shot a final-round 311 and finished in 26th place at the Middleburg Bank Intercollegiate at the Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, Va.

The Mastodons had a three-day total of 930, in the event hosted by The College of William & Mary that was won by Texas Tech with an 851.

The Red Raiders had the medalist, Clement Sordet, who had a 2-under 208 in the tournament.

Jacob Groninger led the Mastodons with a 220, including a final-round 76, finishing 25th overall.

Carter Dornseif tied for 83rd with a 230, including a final-round 82.

IPFW next plays in the 54-hold Bradley Invitational, beginning April 5.
