Garage blaze at excavating company

Firefighters extinguished a blaze Friday night in an industrial building on Coliseum Boulevard West.

The fire was reported at 7:27 p.m. at Geiger Excavating, 2808 Coliseum Blvd. W.

Firefighters found heavy smoke coming from a stand-alone garage. Crews forced their way inside and found the fire in a paint booth. The fire was under control at 7:45 p.m. and the cause is under investigation. Damage was minimal to the structure and contents. There were no injuries, the fire department said.
