Three northeast Indiana judges received a chunk of the more than $232,000 in grants the Indiana Supreme Court issued for family court projects recently.
The grants will help focus on creating innovative programs that improve the court process for families.
Specifically, the grants will help improve access to the courts for families without attorneys, promote the timely resolution of cases and implement programs that support families throughout the court process.
Allen Superior Court Judge Charles Pratt and Circuit Court Judge Thomas Felts in Allen County received $23,270 in grant money, according to a release from the Supreme Court.
Judge Michael Reed in Kosciusko County received $10,000.
Judges in 23 other counties also received grant money.
