Report: IU flips Purdue recruit

Indiana picked up a third commitment Sunday, according to 247Sports.

Simmie Cobbs, a 6-foot-4, 205-pound athlete from River Forest High School in Oak Park, Ill., changed his commitment from Purdue to IU, the website reported.

Cobbs is rated a three-star player.

He was recruited to Purdue as a defensive player, but he will likely play receiver for the Hoosiers.

IU added Will Dawkins, a 5-foot-11, 195-pound athlete from Vero Beach (Fla.) High School, and Kiante Walton, 5-10, 190-pound cornerback from Columbus (Ga.) Carver High School, to its class earliery Sunday.

The Hoosiers have 24 players committed to their 2014 class with signing day coming Wednesday.
