Volunteers

National College, Fort Wayne campus, 6131 N. Clinton St., will have a volunteer expo from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday. The free event will have a number of area organizations offering information for volunteer opportunities.

Sheets Wildlife Museum in Huntington is seeking volunteers for its board of directors. Those interested can send a letter to the Sheets Wildlife Museum, 200 Safari Trail, Huntington, IN 46750 or email sheetswild life@gmail.com.

Self-defense class

Women’s Health Link will have a free self-defense course for women from 9 a.m. to noon today at Archbishop Noll Center, 915 S. Clinton St. The Christian-based course will be given by the Rev. J. Brown, associate pastor at Concordia Lutheran Church who has an eighth-degree black belt.

AARP and the IRS are offering free tax preparation for low and moderate income taxpayers beginning in February through April.
