  • Good start for K's
It certainly wasn't the most exciting period I've ever seen, but it was a successful one for the Komets. They got the only goal at Memorial Coliseum and outshot the Reading Royals 14-12.
  • Ouellet back for K's
The Komets will have Dean Ouellet back tonight for Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Reading Royals. He missed the last 17 games with a concussion.
  • Priming Game 3
The Reading Royals are the defending champions of the ECHL, and it would be naïve of the Komets to think it would be easy to unseat them.

K's look good but tied

KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- The Komets have been the better team, outshooting the Kalamazoo Wings 23-13 through two periods, but it's tied at 1.

The Komets keep getting great chances and can't finish most of them.

The Wings' Eric Kattelus tied it in the second period, shortly after getting out of the penalty box, with a 12-foot shot.

Mike Embach had scored in the first period for Fort Wayne.
