Victim hospitalized after shooting

A man was found shot in the leg outside a south-side bar early Saturday, police said.

Fort Wayne police were called to Hard Hitters at 5001 Avondale Drive just before 4 a.m. According to a police report, officers found a man with a gunshot would lying outside the front door, and a trail of blood leading up to and into the entrance.

Police also found large pools of blood in a hallway and room inside the bar. A woman told police she heard shots fired inside the bar before she left, according to the report.

The victim was in serious condition at a hospital, police said.
