  • K's fall to 5 in power rankings, get new player
The Komets have signed Brett Beebe, who was in training camp with them and has been playing with Pensacola of the Southern Professional Hockey League.
  • Things to check out
For the first time this season, the Komets aren't on top of the Eastern Conference standings. Losing three of five games will do that to a team.
  • Bad loss yields great highlights
Even though the Komets lost 3-1 to the Greenville Road Warriors -- and lost their hold on first place in the Eastern Conference for the first time this season -- I think you will enjoy the highlights in the video here.

Some things of note

The Komets, who have won back-to-back games, have killed off 10 straight power plays over their last three games.

Brandon Marino is on a six-game point-scoring streak, during which he has six goals and 11 points. He is fourth in the league with 28 points, five behind the leader, Florida's Matthew Pistilli.

Mike Embach is on a six-game point-scoring streak -- he has five goals and nine points -- though only two of those games have come with Fort Wayne.

Mickey Lang leads the ECHL in goals with 16 -- raise your hand if you predicted that -- and Chris Auger is fifth with 12.

Goaltender Cody Reichard is unbeaten (2-0-1) in his last three games.
