Notre Dame tops Army

SOUTH BEND – Jerian Grant had 19 points, eight assists and six steals Sunday to lead Notre Dame to a 93-60 non-conference victory over Army on Sunday.

Garrick Sherman added 19 points and seven rebounds as the Fighting Irish (4-1) forced 22 Army turnovers and held the Black Knights to 5-of-25 shooting from 3-point range.

Dylan Cox scored 11 points to lead Army (1-4), which has lost three straight.

The Irish, playing their second game in three days following their first loss of the season last Sunday to Indiana State, won their second straight and improved to 9-0 all-time against Army. Army, which came in averaging nearly 34 3-point attempts per game, missed its first nine 3-pointers before Kyle Wilson finally connected with 14:04 to play.
