Saint Francis draws Alabama school in first round

And the wheel comes up … Faulkner (Ala.) University.

The Eagles out of Montgomery, Ala., will be No. 6 Saint Francis’ first-round NAIA playoff opponent, as the pairings came out Sunday afternoon. The game will be played at Bishop John M. D’Arcy Stadium on Saturday.

Faulkner (9-2) is ranked ninth and has won its last six games, including a 42-14 victory at Kentucky Christian on Saturday. The Eagles lead the NAIA in total offense with (590.8 ypg), passing offense (421.1 ypg), total sacks (38) and scoring (48.0 ppg). Six times they’ve scored 50 or more points, with a high of 66 in a 66-14 rout of Belhaven.
