Homicide suspect arrested in Van Wert County

The Van Wert County, Ohio, sheriff's department has arrested a woman sought in connection with the shooting of two people in Van Wert on Thursday night, Van Wert police said today.

Tamera K. Menke, 47, has been charged with murder in the death of Barbara Robinson, one of the shooting victims, police said in a statement. They said other charges are pending.

Van Wert police were called at 6:02 p.m. to a home at 223 S. Fulton St. The assailant had fled before they arrived.

Both victims were taken to Van Wert County Hospital. The second victim's name has not been released.
