Auburn man killed in Indiana 3 crash

An Auburn moped rider died today in a crash with a pickup truck on Indiana 3 near the Allen-DeKalb county line, Indiana State Police said.

Scott Albright, 43, died at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, state police at Fort Wayne said in a statement.

Police said Albright was traveling north on Indiana 3, just south of DeKalb County Road 70, about 6:50 a.m. when his moped collided with a northbound pickup truck driven by John Wilson Jr., 45, of Fort Wayne.

Wilson was not injured, police said. They said Albright was not wearing a helmet.

The DeKalb County and Allen County sheriff's departments, the Huntertown and LaOtto fire departments and Huntertown EMS assisted at the scene, police said.
