Noah Vonleh earns Big Ten Freshman of the Week

Indiana freshman forward Noah Vonleh earned Big Ten Freshman of the Week honors after his double-double in the Hoosiers' season opener Friday.

Vonleh had 11 points, 14 rebounds and three blocks in a 100-72 victory over Chicago State at Assembly Hall. He became the first Hoosier to record a double-double in his debut since Cody Zeller.

Christian Watford and Tom Pritchard accomplished that feat in the previous two seasons.

Vonleh gets a chance to be the first IU player to start his season with two double-doubles since Pritchard in 2008 when the Hoosiers take on LIU-Brooklyn on Tuesday.
