College football preview: Trine at Olivet

Records: Trine (3-5, 0-4 MIAA); Olivet (6-2, 2-2)

Scouting report: Last week, Trine scored first but then gave up 35 unanswered points in a 35-7 loss to Hope, the Thunder’s fifth straight loss after beginning the season 3-0. Now it’s back on the road to Olivet, which has lost two of its last four games but continues to rack up 24.1 points and 386.6 yards per game, largely behind quarterback Braden Black, who has thrown for 1,709 and 14 touchdowns. That’s not good news for a Trine team that has given up 19 touchdowns through the air and 25.4 points per game, including 30.4 points in its five losses.
