Amped up for camp

The Mad Ants open training camp Thursday at Concordia Theological Seminary and there's a lot of excitement at the team's offices right now.

"All of us are ramped up," new coach Conner Henry said. "We're excited. We think we've got a good group coming in."

Today, the players are taking their physicals to make sure they are OK to go Thursday.

So far, so good in that respect.

Seventeen players will be in camp -- including all five of the Mad Ants' draft picks -- and the team will be able to carry 10 on its active roster, which is handed in Nov. 21.

"The early communication with each one of our draft picks has been positive and seamless," Henry said.
